Registration Directions for Georgia Regional Tournaments-Beginning Sept. 20

Enter your membership number and zip code of your membership.
Fill out and submit registration.
Mail copy of registration comfirmation email with payment to the State Treasurer at 3037 Bellanca Street, Columbus, GA 31909 within two weeks of online registration and before deadline. If you register online before the deadline, but fail to send payment or register your judge online, your team must pay the late fee.
Tournaments are filled on a first come/first served basis. Don’t wait for all teams from your school to register if your team wants a specific tournament. Spaces are limited.
Information needed to complete online registration:
Membership number and the zip code associated with the membership address. (You must be registered with national for the 2011-2012 year to register for a Georgia tournament.)
Problem name and division.
Primary: up thru Grade 2 Division II: up thru Grade 8
Division I: up thru Grade 5 Division III: Full time high school student
Membership physical address (in addition to mailing address, if different)
Head coach’s name, home phone number, e-mail address and business phone number.
Head coach’s address, city, and zip.
Team’s hometown newspaper information.
Any special requests/needs must be written in the space provided.
Judge’s name and home phone, address, city, zip, business phone, fax, e-mail, and t-shirt size. If your judge is certified as an MD, RN, or EMT please indicate.
Each Georgia Odyssey of the Mind competition uses approx. 100 judges and 100 volunteers to ensure a smooth, exciting tournament for all. Consequently, each team is required to provide one judge AND one volunteer. The judges and volunteer you provide MUST work at YOUR regional competition unless prior arrangements are made. All Odyssey of the Mind judges and volunteers must be 18 years or older and high school graduates. Judges must attend a full-day training seminar in addition to judging at the tournament. Your judge needs to be aware that he/she will be required to judge at State Finals if your team advances.
Anyone may attend a Coaches’ Workshop for a $10 fee with no registration required. The fee will be collected at the door. New coaches are encouraged to attend.
Within two weeks of online registration submission and by the appropriate deadlines, mail to the State Treasurer: a copy of registration confirmation, and check for $75 if postmarked by Dec. 19, 2011 or $125 if postmarked after Dec. 19 and by January 6, 2012. Registrations will not be accepted postmarked after Jan. 6, 2012. The State Treasurer’s address is at the bottom of this form. All checks should be made out to Georgia Odyssey of the Mind. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
NOTE: The competition schedule and Coaches’ Notes will be posted ten days before your tournament date on our website (www.GeorgiaOdyssey.org). Volunteers should check in at volunteer desk at registration before 8:00 am on the day of competition to get their assignments. Come early to get your choice!
