steps for registering a team
The process for registering a team is easy to accomplish! Below are a few simple steps to guide you through the process.
Get a Membership
In order to get started, you must register for a membership. A membership allows you to have access to all of the complete long term problems as well as a copy of the program guide. A membership is required in order to participate in a local tournament. Memberships may be purchased for entire schools or groups. We suggest new schools/groups look over the Membership Information to get a better understanding of how memberships can be set up.

We have two traditional regional tournaments hosted around the state on separate weekends to best accommodate all teams interested in competing in the Odyssey of the Mind program in Georgia. Please feel free to register for the tournament that best fits your teams specific scheduling needs.
Remember, a part of registration is your team roster. Once rosters are submitted, they can't be changed so make sure you are ready to register your roster before you register for competition.
Judges must be registered at the same time the team registers for a Regional Tournament.

Every team must provide a Judge for a tournament to provide the fairest assessment of teams possible. Judges must attend a training session prior to the tournament date to properly prepare each judge for the tournament.
Please read additional information about judging before registering.

We offer great opportunities for teams and coaches to learn more about the program. If you find yourself asking “Am I doing this right?” or “Is there more information out there?” then attending one of our workshops maybe helpful to you! We host several coaches training workshops, an In-Depth Workshop to get coaches familiar with the problems, and several spontaneous workshops each year for you and your team started to get started or to continue on your problem solving journey! We know these workshops happen early, so even if your team has not registered for a membership or tournament yet you may still sign up for these events.
Coaches workshops
We offer a trainings session that will go through the ins and outs of the program and how to get started. All of our coaches workshop sessions provides information into coaching, understanding the basics of the program, and other questions you might find yourself asking. Feel free to come prepared with questions!
In-Depth Workshop
We welcome all coaches to join us for the In-Depth Workshop. This workshop is setup so that coaches get to interact with problem captains in charge of the long term problem judging teams in Georgia. The training provides in-depth information into understanding the basics of the long term problem rules and how they will be enforced on competition day.
Spontaneous Workshop
Each workshop we offer is setup the same so that new and experienced teams can benefit from being exposed to a variety of spontaneous problems. These workshops offer an insight into what the kids will experience at competition day all while having experienced volunteers there to talk with teams and coaches about spontaneous..
